Suspensions Cause Pardew Problems

The Addicks are going to be hit with a few suspensions for the visit to West Brom on Saturday, and Alan Pardew has admitted that this will hurt his side.

Jonathan Fortune was sent-off in the 3-1 win over Ipswich, so he will serve a three-match suspension, and after each picking up their fifth yellow cards of the season Danny Mills and Lloyd Sam will also have to sit out the match with the Baggies, all of which will hurt the Addicks as Alan Pardew admitted, but it could be worse: "The suspensions will hurt us, but West Brom have got two or three injuries, so that's probably evened it up."

Chris Powell also picked up a head injury that forced him off against the Tractor Boys, and with Grant Basey already missing if Chris Powell can't recover in time (which Alan Pardew feels he will) we could be in serious trouble defensively.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on these suspensions and injuries/possible injuries? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Your Comments

There is never an ideal time for injures or suspensions but when you are facing an opponent that you are battling for promotion against its even worse. It will test the character of the Addicks, and will see what those who come in are made of.
