Pardew Looking at the January Sales

Alan Pardew has admitted that the Addicks will need to strengthen during the January transfer window.

We had to put out a patched up defence against West Brom on Saturday after a few suspensions and injuries, and injuries to three other players during that Baggies defeat leaves Alan Pardew down to the bare bones almost.

He has said that the "squad players" that came in did well as the continue to learn but has also said that he is looking to get players in the New Year (Jimmy has already produced an article on one such player that could be of interest, Aaron McLean), Alan Pardew told the Addicks website: "Some of the squad players gave a good account of themselves.

"I think we are going to need to strengthen in the window, looking at what we have seen in the first half of the season.

"It's now the time to sit down with the chairman and get the bodies in to give us a boost. We feel we need a couple to make us strong for the second part of the season.

"We are trying to keep Danny Mills for the rest of the year as well.

"This is a new team, and is learning all the time, so they will be getting better as we go along."

Hopefully this extension for Danny Mills can be agreed and a couple of new arrivals will happen, but Chris Dickson could also be like a new signing.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Alan Pardew's thoughts? Can he get some players in the New Year, will he be allowed to? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Some new players are needed, AP has basically remoulded us but we are still lacking in a few areas, and maybe some of those that have come in are not quite what we expected, or are at least not ready for what we expected just yet?
