Wycombe Wanderers vs. Charlton Athletic

Adams Park

19 January 2010

3.00pm

New Ground For The Addicks

Charlton finally get to play their first match of the new decade at Adams Park, their first competitive game at the venue.

The Addicks could have been facing a six point deficit with Norwich had the Norfolk side managed to win at Walsall in midweek. Unfortunately for the Canaries, the game was a victim of the weather.

With Norwich facing a tricky game at Colchester, the Addicks could even leapfrog their rivals.

Wycombe were unfortunate to return from Elland Road with just a solitary point from their last game, so Charlton will have to be on their guard.

Vital Quotes:

Wycombe Wanderers Team News:

Jon-Paul Pittman fired the Chairboys equaliser at Leeds and will again start alongside Matt Harrold.

Player to watch: Matt Harrold.

Charlton Athletic Team News:

The enforced break has given Charlton's injured players a chance to recover fitness.

Richardson will be available but may have to be content with a place on the bench. Dailly is sure to return alongside Llera with Semedo returning to his usual midfield berth.

Burton and Mooney are both fit and available again and are likely to resume their partnership up front.

Player to watch: Nicky Bailey

Match Facts & Stats

Ref Watch:

Karl Evans from Lancashire will be the man in charge.

Match Prediction:

This is a game Charlton really need to win to keep the pressure on Norwich. If they are focused a narrow 1-0 win may come their way.
