Bad run of form, what's that? The memories of the three straight defeats seem a million miles away now, and the Blades come to the Valley on Tuesday night with the Addicks chasing a fifth straight win.

Vital Quotes:

The Addicks Team News:

Four successive wins, and with no goals conceded means it is not too likely that Alan Pardew is going to change things much, if at all, so an unchanged side is likely.
Matt Holland and Luke Varney (after his goal again Preston) are looking for starts, but will have to wait.
Chris Powell is back in training after injury, but will not come back in, not yet anyway, but Grant Basey has filled in very well anyway, and the teenage looks to be there to stay.

Player to watch: Chris Iwelumo

He had a quiet game against the Lilywhites with not much coming off for him but he does have three goals in his last four matches, so he will be looking to get back onto the goalscoring trail again.

The Blades Team News:

The Blades manager Bryan Robson on the other hand may look to make changes after defeat at home to Plymouth on Saturday, who might come in isn't known.
Lee Hendrie and Derek Geary are not fit to return from injury yet though.

Player to watch: James Beattie

11 Championship goals this season have seen his price tag justified and some Premier League clubs are rumoured to be watching him ahead of a possible January return, so he we need to be watched.

Match Facts & Stats

The last meeting between the two sides came as little ago as last season, as both clubs were in the Premier League as we all know, and both were relegated.
This corresponding fixture at the Valley ended in a 1-1 draw with the Blades battling back to earn a point.

In all competitions, the head-to-head stats stack up like this with the Blades having the advantage: the Addicks won 18, the Blades won 23, draws 17.

Ref Watch:

Referee: M Halsey
Assistants: A Halliday and M Tingey
Fourth Official: A D'Urso

Match Prediction:

Four straight wins for the Addicks and stuttering, yet improving of late form from the Blades seems to point towards a home win, but you can never tell.
The Blades haven't won at the Valley in over 35 years (but this will count for nothing) but even so you have to say an Addicks win though under the current form, and a win could move us back into the automatic promotion places.

Next Fixtures:

Burnley at the Valley on Saturday.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on the outcome of this match with the Blades, will the Addicks win, lose or draw? Share these feeling below so we can discuss them.

This should be an entertaining game and I expect some goals (so the means defensive streak might come to an end?) but also believe the Addicks will win.

You can't win all the time can you, it's just important that the right response to defeat is had this time, and not another two follow it.

Donno about that CA - wasn't there a season when Arsenal didn't lose a game? I don't like when we lose but, as you say StevieG, it's only one game!

So long as it is only one game, and it doesn't turn into two or three in a row.
