Charlton Athletic 2 - Gillingham 2

The Valley

20 March 3.00 pm

Attendance: 20,024

Discontent At The Valley

Another disappointing result saw Charlton booed off at the end of both halves at The Valley. Phil Parkinson, clearly feeling the pressure, was critical of the fans' reaction.

Hi team spurned a host of chances to sew the game up and had to settle for a draw.

Frazer Richardson's long range effort squirmed under Alan Julian to give the home side the lead but it was immediately cancelled out by an Andy Barcham rocket. Following an error by Elliot, Gillingham took the lead in first-half stoppage time.

Good control and a neat turn by David Mooney restored parity after an hour.

Elliot and Burton had to go off with injuries and the club will have to ponder their options ahead of Thursday's deadline for loan deals.

Star Player

Jose Semedo.
