Barnet 0 0 - Charlton Athletic 0 0

Underhill

6 November 3.00pm

Attendance: 2684

Bee-low Par

Appropriately, the teams were led on to the field by the local British Legion Standard bearer. The minute's silence for those who gave their lives serving their country was immaculately observed by both sets of fans.

Former Addick, Grant Basey, got a warm reception from the travelling Charlton fans and had a fine game in the centre of defence. Charlton controlled the first half without seriously threatening to breach the Barnet defence.

Jackson went closest after 16 minutes when an Elliot free-kick found him free on the left. Jackson drove on into the area before firing across goal.

Joe Anyinsah took a knock before the break and was replaced by Pawel Abbott as the teams reappeared after the break.

The second period was more even with Elliot called upon to make a couple of smart stops with Abbott hitting the bar for the visitors.

Reid, who is still recovering from the injury sustained against Brighton, was given a cameo and had a couple of free-kicks, once fired just over and the other a comfortable save for the keeper.

Benson and Abbott had shots saved as the game petered out to a goal less draw. The replay that neither team wanted will be at The Valley on Tuesday 16 November.

Star Player

Matt Fry, he had a fine game.
