Addicks Go Clear

Sheffield United's defeat at Wycombe saw Charlton open a three point gap at the top of the table.

A Hayes flick and a drive from Jackson gave the Addicks a 2-0 interval lead. The hosts were dominant and could have been out of sight by half-time. Chesterfield were improved after the break and pulled a goal back from the penalty spot with 18 minutes left.

Bradley Wright-Phillips sealed the win in added on time.

Star Player

Johnnie Jackson, inspiring performance from the captain.
