Addicks Win Pools

Charlton recorded their seventh away win of the season at Hartlepool on Saturday.

Two Bradley Wright-Phillips strikes in the first half put the Addicks in command and Danny Hollands and substitute, Scott Wagstaff, added further goals after the break.

Charlton will entertain Preston and Huddersfield and visit Brentford in November. The draw for the first round of the FA Cup was made earlier, with the Addicks facing a trip to Blue Square North side, FC Halifax on the weekend of 12 November.

The game is likely to be shown on live television.
