Marbella 0 - Charlton Ath 1

Estadio Municipal

Spanish beaten

Charlton completed their small tour of Spain by grabbing victory over Spanish second division side Marbella. Chris Dickson continued his rich run of goals by neatly sliding the ball home in the second half after some great creative play by fellow new Addick, Todorov.

Chris Iwelumo was unlucky not to give the vistors the lead when he went close early on smashing a decent effort against the home side's crossbar. Trialist Dean Sinclair gave another solid performance for Pardew to dwell on before he decides to give the former Barnet youngster a contract or not.

All of the new boys to arrive in SE7 this summer got a run out with most suprisingly Jose Semendo taking up a midfield role in which he seemed rather comftable in.

Im not too concerned about the Spain trip its more the amount of part timers we have played so far. Charlton have started to get very commercial even with friendlies alot of who we play is about revenue and links for the clubs better interests.
